Looking for a panfandom game if at all possible, set at a college? Other than Avalon University because I'm already in it XD Preferably with spots open for Richard Thorne III and Natalie Dykstra from The Bedford Diaries? REALLY preferable if the position of editor for the school paper is open, for Richard.

Who: Peter Petrelli (the younger one) and Angela Petrelli
What: Peter wants answers, and gets carried away
Where: Angela's office in the facility
When: Backdated to just before Veronica exploded
Rating: R
Warnings: Violence, blood, character death
Status: Closed and Complete

There was only one person in Peter's mind that had the answers he sought. Only one person on this godforsaken island knew why they had been brought here, and what this held in store for all of them left here. Only one person that he could possibly track down and get the information from, one way or another . . . his mother. Angela Petrelli was anything but a real mother, as far as Peter was concerned anymore. He understood it all, now; what she'd done. He understood that she had used him, used them all. She had never really cared about him or Nathan; it had all been a giant game of chess, with the universe on the line. He and his brother were not children to her; they were pawns in her game, and now Sylar was one too. He would have his answers, one way or another.

It didn't take much for him to find the office she had claimed as her own; there were few places suited for it, that wouldn't require her to mix with the 'patients' too much. He knew her well enough to know that she would have considered herself above that, unless it was in a professional capacity. No, there was only one place in this damn facility that would suffice for her, and he didn't even really need the Walker girl's power to track her down. The door was, remarkably, unlocked as he moved into the office, dark eyes scanning from behind black bangs the few personal knick-knacks on the desk and shelves before they settled on the woman seated at her desk, watching him, hands folded on the surface as prim and proper as ever. As if she was expecting him.

"I wondered how long it would be before you came looking, Peter," she murmured quietly, watching her youngest son with her cool, indifferent mask in place, though there was trepidation in her eyes beneath it. She was afraid of him.

Good.

"You knew." It wasn't a question; not really. He didn't need her to answer to know the truth. She knew what he was here for, she knew he was coming . . . and she had waited for him. "Then you know what I want."

"Yes, I do. And I'm afraid I won't be able to oblige that 'request'. It's classified information, Peter, and son or not, it's none of your business." Angela frowned from behind her glasses, watching the young man in front of her warily. Reading the boards had given her enough information on this incarnation of her son; she knew what he was capable of. He had taken on Sylar's ability; he thought he understood everything . . . and it made him more dangerous than ever. Pursing her lips, the older woman closed the files she had settled in front of her on the desk before getting up, moving toward Peter. Maybe if she could keep him calm, he would be easily subdued, when and if she called security.

"Don't." The word was quiet, almost hissed, and Peter felt his anger rising as he read every thought broadcast by her mind. She though he could be subdued? She thought he could be placated with empty promises, and then taken away and sedated . . . He wouldn't let that happen to himself. Without warning he darted forward, grabbing hold of his mother by her shoulders hard, holding her in place. "I won't be distracted, Mother. I won't let you pull this again. What else have you been hiding from me? WHAT ELSE?!" The words were shouted in her face, his grip tightening enough that he could hear her bones creak beneath her skin.

Angela cringed inwardly from the pain, her calm facade slipping for the moment, her eyes pleading as she looked at her youngest son. "Peter, don't-"

"Don't what? If you won't answer me, I'll take the answers from you! I won't be kept in the dark anymore! I WON'T!" Shoving her back, he didn't hesitate. His dark eyes narrowed as he concentrated, a hand coming up, single finger pointed out. The sound of flesh and bone rending in two filled the air, along with the tangible scent of blood and his mother's screams. Before long the screams ceased, and her body slumped to the floor, leaving Peter's ears ringing in the silence of the office. Kneeling beside the fallen body of his mother, he was focused on his task, trying to extract unknown secrets from her mind, now being held in his hand. The brain was still warm, his hands and clothes slick with her blood as he looked. But nothing he saw gave him what he wanted.

With a frustrated growl, sounding almost like a wail, Peter dropped it, his hands shaking as he ran blood-soaked fingers over his face and through his hair. What was he going to do now? She had done what she had always wanted - taken her secrets to the grave with her. Now what was he going to do? Any further thoughts on the matter were cut off by the sharp shaking and jolting of the ground, and Peter stumbled and fell hard, slipping in the pooled blood on the floor. What was THAT? Grimacing, he got up and shook himself off, his nose wrinkling as he tasted blood on his lips.

Angela Petrelli's blood. His MOTHER's blood. In some ways, his own . . .

The thought made him retch slightly, and he shook his head, refusing to look at the body at his feet as he stumbled out of the office. Let someone else clean up the mess; he wouldn't touch her again.

Wow. At the rate things have been going, I was starting to think I wouldn't have any free time left to write here. Things have just been completely crazy as of late, and so I've been pretty much incommunicado. Hell, I think Leah was even starting to feel it, and she lives with me. I never meant to make her feel like that, but it sometimes happens when I get completely focused on stuff. Tunnel vision, I swear. It kind of sucks sometimes, yeah, but at least I get things done that way? That's what I tell myself, at least, when it happens. Maybe I'm lying to myself, I dunno. Maybe I'm just in denial.

Wow, I'm rambling, already. Good job, Emerson.

So, I guess I should at least document everything that's been going on, yeah? Well, probably the most important thing to happen since I last commented or wrote anything has already been announced. I married Leah, finally. She'd been waiting on me long enough, and as much as I love her, I can honestly say I was starting to wonder why she put up with me. She'd been waiting so long for us to be married, and all because I couldn't make up my mind on my major, get off my ass, and graduate. It wasn't fair to her, having to constantly wait because of my stupidity and wishy-washy ideas. So I married her. It wasn't, you know, the big thing I know she wants, but it's legal. She's my wife, and I'm hers . . . and I never thought I'd be so happy to be legally owned. It's weird, you know? I mean, nothing has really changed in the house, but it just FEELS different, now that she's my wife. It's like the whole air of the place changed, now that she's not just my live-in girlfriend anymore. I can't even begin to explain it, and I'm doing a really terrible job trying, so I think it's time I just stop before I start rambling again.

Oh, on a random side note, if you hear the smoke alarm going off in Escape 303, it's okay. That's just me. God help us all, I'm trying to learn to actually cook, for her. So far it's a disaster, but I'm still trying. Just a friendly little warning there.

Now, as for the reason disappearance as of late. One word should explain it all: finals. God, that really, REALLY sucked. I'd already forgotten how much stress comes with finals. Just a note - taking 24 credit hours a semester? NOT a good idea. Ever. No matter what. I swear, I'm surprised I'm still alive after all of that workload. I can't even begin to count how many times I've woken up in the kitchen in the morning, after falling asleep on my psych book studying. It's not good for the back, either, and I'm pretty sure I've got a permanent crick in my neck. But, it has its rewards, I guess. I still need to tell Leah about that . . . I have a surprise for her, but I'm not going into detail about that here, because then it wouldn't be a surprise, now would it?

Really, that's all there is going on in my life. I'm out of classes, though, so hopefully I can relax and just enjoy married life . . . I hope.
